Evelyn Jones was the second oldest of four children born to the union of Maelena and Walter Howard on July 4, 1933. Her youngest brother Cary preceded her in death.
She received her education in the Chicago Public School system attending Wendell Philips High School. Evelyn was a lifetime member of the Jehovah Witness Millennialist Religion serving various Kingdom Halls depending on the location of her home.
Evelyn was married to the love of her life William (Billy) Jones on April 29, 1955. To this union, six children were born, Jacquelyn, Diana Lynn, Phyllis, Phillip, Rosalyn and Carolyn.
Evelyn was a very industrious person who loved being a housewife. She loved cooking, sewing, canning and other things related to the home and raising her children.
Evelyn departed this life on January 2, 2024 reunited with her loving husband of more than fifty plus years. She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memory, her sister Dorothy, her brother Walter Jr., her children Jacquelyn, Diana Lynn, Phyllis, Phillip, Rosalyn and Carolyn, seven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and dear friends
