Melvin Jr. (Mel) was born to the union of Melvin J. Piper, Sr. and Claire Piper in chicago, IL. He attended Elementary and High School in Chicago. He leaves to chrish his memories, his sister Barbara Green, his brother Liionel Piper, his daughter Marguerite, his nephews Philip and John Green, many great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and friends. He has joined his father who preceded him in death.
